【摘要】:Theresultsobtainedbythismethodwillincludethemethanolfreedfromcombinedforms.Thesearehowevernotusuallypresentathigherlevelstoeffecttheresults.Theprincipleconsistsinesterficationofthemethanolpresentwithformicacidusingsulphuricacidasacatalyst.Distillationofthemethylformateintosodiumhydroxidesolutionandback-titrationoftheexcesssodiumhydroxidewithastandardvolumetricsulphuricacidsolution,usingphenolphthaleinasindicator.Thismethodisintendedformethanolcontentsgreaterthan0,2%.
