【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeusedtodeterminetheappearanceofpropagatingfracturesinplaincarbonorlow-alloypipesteels(yieldstrengthslessthan825MPa)overthetemperaturerangewherethefracturemodechangesfrombrittle(cleavageorflat)toductile(shearoroblique).Thistestmethodcanservethefollowingpurposes:Forresearchanddevelopment,tostudytheeffectofmetallurgicalvariablessuchascompositionorheattreatment,oroffabricatingoperationssuchasweldingorformingonthemodeoffracturepropagation.Forevaluationofmaterialsforservicetoindicatethesuitabilityofamaterialforspecificapplicationsbyindicatingfracturepropagationbehaviorattheservicetemperature(s).Forinformationorspecificationpurposes,toprovideamanufacturingqualitycontrolonlywhensuitablecorrelationshavebeenestablishedwithservicebehavior.1.1Thistestmethodcoversdrop-weightteartests(DWTT)onferriticsteelswiththicknessesbetween3.18and19.1mm.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
